I am selling my Yugoslavian PC99 Airborne helmet, which was first introduced in the 1960s, and continued service throughout the Cold War until the fall of Yugoslavia.
Unlike standard steel infantry helmets, like the Yugoslavian M59, the PC99 was specifically manufactured out of fiberglass. It was not intended for ballistic combat protection; but rather, its sole purpose was to act as a lightweight training helmet designed to protect paratroopers from head impacts during a parachute landing.
It was exclusively utilized by Yugoslavia’s only airborne unit, the 63rd Parachute Brigade (63. Padobranska Brigada) of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), based out of Niš.
As you can see from my photos, my PC99 helmet is in good condition with a gorgeous interior. Since they were only used by one unit in Yugoslavia, only a limited number were manufactured and even fewer made it to the U.S collector’s market.
On that note: It is not affordable to import a helmet like this into the US in 2026. (Tariffs). My PC99 is one of the few options you have available in the United States right now for a reasonable price.
