This WWI M1918 BAR magazine belt started life in May 1918 made by the RH Long company. In 1942 the Avery company had a contract to convert surplus WWI belts to the M1937 specification. A new adjustment belt was sewn on to the two belt halves. The original double hook style adjustment grommets can be seen underneath the added belt. The belt uses a WWII style closure. There is a repair to one of the snaps as well
