Vintage Bustles & Beaus Saloon advertising / song request menu from San Francisco, California.
A wonderful piece of early 1960s San Francisco nightlife memorabilia from Bustles & Beaus, formerly located at Union Square at Powell & Geary.
The front features colorful period advertising for the saloon, including “Firehouse Phoebe,” the “Death-Defying Slide Down the 18-Carat Gold Pole,” feminine cupbearers, piano and banjo entertainment, and classic Gay Nineties-style graphics.
The reverse features “Our Professor of Music – Here to Play Your Requests” with a numbered list of 32 traditional songs and their lyrics.
Bustles & Beaus occupied the location that later became the well-known Gold Dust Lounge, making this an interesting piece of San Francisco entertainment and nightlife history.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with visible folds, creases, edge wear, discoloration/age toning and other signs of age and storage. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
