Description: Texas Canyon, located in the Dragoon Mountains of southern Arizona, is shown here with a two-lane Highway 86 cutting through the dramatic boulder-strewn landscape between Wilcox and Benson. Large granite rock formations rise on either side of the road, with desert scrub vegetation filling the foreground. The Ektachrome photograph was taken by L. M. Jones and captures a classic mid-century view of this well-known scenic corridor.
