Brand new but getting very hard to find. This listing is for 30g of Butvar B-76 Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) resin. I believe this product has been discontinued. It is a favorite among conservators and rock hounds and fossil hunters. It can be used as a consolidant for fossils and other artifacts. It is also used as a varnish where it has a matte finish. This is unlike Paraloid B-72, which many have switched to since discontinuation, which produces more of a glossy finish. If you are looking for Paraloid B-72 resin though, I happen to sell that too! Back to Butvar though - two other uses (it has too many to list) are as a filler material and it can also be used as an adhesive by first dissolving a large volume in a solvent.

Butvar® B-76 is supplied in coarse powder form with an unlimited shelf life, which dissolves (albeit slowly) in a solution of either acetone or ethanol (amongst others).
