Pair of original post-WWI artillery planning maps issued by the U.S. Military Engineer, Washington DC, and printed at the Base Printing Plant, 29th Engineers, U.S. Army in 1918. Reprinted by the Engineer Reproduction Barracks, Washington DC in 1924.
Each map is titled “General Map for Artillery Objectives” and measures 44x28 inches. One is labeled Verdun-B and the other Etain-A, tying them directly to the Meuse-Argonne/ Verdun sector.
Condition: Overall nice with vibrant colors. Expected splits/holes at fold marks; one map has creasing on the right-hand border. These issues would be mitigated by professional matting or U.S. Army cartographic artifacts from WWI.
