Vintage Liberty of London Handmade Christmas Pop-Up Doll Box – Made in England
A wonderfully unusual vintage Liberty of London holiday collectible, handmade in England and featuring a charming fabric Christmas figure housed inside a red wooden pop-up box.
The figure is dressed in classic Liberty-style floral print fabric and holds a red heart. The original “LIBERTY of London® – Hand made in England” label remains attached to the back of the box.
The figure can be gently pressed down into the wooden box for storage/display and revealed again when opened.
A particularly charming and hard-to-find Liberty collectible. I have been unable to locate another example of this exact design.
Condition:
Good vintage condition overall with age-related character and wear. The painted wooden box shows surface wear, small scuffs and edge wear consistent with age. The bottom has been re-secured and retains visible wear and traces from its previous separation. Brass-tone hardware has natural age-related patina. The fabric figure presents nicely overall. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
