Colombianite is a tektite similar to Moldavite, This grey-brown tektite was formed from a Meteorite impact that struck Colombia millions of years ago. There has been debate on whether this stone is a meteorite impact formed Tektite or a Volcanic formed Obsidian, but a USRA and NASA backed study has confirmed that Colombianite is in fact a tektite (Feel free to message me to see the article)
Colombianite is considered to be a sacred stone by the Muisca tribes. It is often called "Piedra Rayo" meaning "Stone of Light." Metaphysically, it is said that the stones promote peace, understanding, compassion and love.
